Circular Nutrient Recovery for Sustainable Municipalities

The goals of the project NutriLoopWorks (EE-LV00163) are

  • Develop cross-border solutions for nutrient recycling;
  • Design a prototype for removing phosphorus from water bodies where it causes problems such as eutrophication and algae overgrowth;
  • Circular economy for removed nutrients – utilizing them in green areas;
  • Develop a remote sensing-based tool to monitor algae levels in selected water bodies.
